Katie Swanson

Occupational Therapist

Katie Swanson is an occupational therapist who received her Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University in 2019. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communications, with a minor in Health Administration from Eastern Michigan University. She has specialized training in the Safe Sound Protocol (SSP), Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI), and SOS feeding. Katie has received training in Sensory Integration and Sensory Processing Disorders, Disorders of Regulation, ADHD, Anxiety and other regulatory disorders. She strives to incorporate activities with intention in therapy to stimulate increased motivation and progress toward client- and family-centered goals. Katie has experience working across the lifespan, in outpatient pediatric, adult community reintegration as well as geriatric home care. She is registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and is licensed by the State of Michigan. Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, riding dirt bikes, and playing with her two dogs.
